Award Recipients
MSU Chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta’s 2020 award for Extension went to Dr. Rebecca Smith, Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics. Dr. Smith’s work as a State Specialist in Agricultural Economics focuses on Family Financial Management and Financial Literacy.
MSU Chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta’s 2020 award for Research went to Dr. Yang Zhao, Assistant Professor with the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Dr. Zhao’s work in Biosystems engineering is using novel methods to control environments in poultry and livestock housing systems.
MSU Chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta’s 2020 award for Teaching went to Dr. Michael Cox, Professor in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. Dr. Cox’s teaching in the area of soil and nutrient management set the foundation for students in the agronomy and environmental science-related programs.
